A MESSAGE FROM JON MARIETTA

  

Dear Friends,

As you know, I ran for County Commissioner in Fayette County this past primary cycle.  It appears I was a mere 122 votes short of moving on to the General Election in November.  With such a small amount keeping me from moving forward, I have decided to ask for a recount.

 

While I am not accusing anyone of doing wrong, human error and mistakes do happen.  It is my sincere desire to ensure that every vote cast was counted correctly.
I also want to ensure that all who voted did so in a fair and proper manner. Let me be clear: this election recount is not about me.  It’s about you and me.  

This recount is about ensuring that our election system is operating properly. I need your help to raise the money to pay for the recount and any legal challenges  that may arise. Will you please contribute to our campaign efforts?  We must ensure that all of our elections are conducted properly.  This can only happen if you help us.

The security of our election process is on the line. 

We have to know for sure that our election system is working correctly.
